The Crow's Sorrow
The Crow’s Sorrow is the first string quartet by composer Kevin Robles (b. 2002), written in July 2022. Crows are often seen as symbols of change and, in some histories, omens of death, representing transformation from the physical to the spiritual world. This piece portrays a friendship undergoing change, but not for the better. The title’s mention of sorrow reflects this deterioration.
